Stainless Steel Section for Structural Application By yaang.com

Unlike carbon steel, there have not been listings of open section sizes for stainless steel structural sections, until Sections Directory in May 2004. This gives the full range of 'standard' stainless steel sections that are readily available and the companies who supply them. The directory distinguishes between producers and distributors as well as showing the main stainless steel grades available from each supplier across the complete size range.

Free Machining Stainless Steel Grades By yaang.com

The traditional 'free machining' stainless steel have been based on sulphur (S) additions in the UK or alternatively, selenium (Se) additions, which have been favoured in the United States. The addition of these elements is in the region of 0.15 - 0.35%. In practice, it is impossible to obtain the selenium treated steel from European producers.

Martensitic and Precipitation Austenitic Stainless Steel Comparison Table By yaang.com

Martensitic and Precipitation Austenitic Stainless Steel Comparison Table is intended to relate former BS, EN, German and Swedish grade designations to the current EN steel numbers, AISI grades and UNS numbers. The table is based on the 'wrought' ie long products (stainless steel bars etc), flanges products (stainless steel flanges etc) stainless steel numbers published in EN 10088 and related standards.
Casting products use different composition and so have their own stainless steel numbers in EN 10283. The related castings grades in both EN 10283 and BS 3100 are included in the table.

Stainless Steel Bars

Stainless steel Bars is often referred to as 'corrosion-resistant steel' - it does not stain, corrode or rust as easily as normal carbon steel. It would however be misleading to say it is corrosion-proof. It differs significantly from standard carbon steel due to the amount of chromium present, which limits surface corrosion unlike carbon steel which will rust when exposed to air and any moisture in the atmosphere. Due to its anti-oxidation qualities, stainless steel is often a popular solution.

410 Stainless Steel UNS S41000 By yaang.com

410 stainless steel is a basic martensitic grade of stainless steel that can be used in higher-heat, low-stress applications. Also called Alloy 410, this grade of stainless steel offers exceptional corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high strength and hardness. The most common hardenable stainless steel, 410 stainless steel is similar to AISI 4130 and is frequently used as filler metal in welding operations, in steam and gas turbine blades and buckets; and in a variety of mining and petroleum applications.

UNS S34700 (Grade 347) 347 Stainless Steel Angle Bar By yaang.com

347 Stainless Steel Angle Bar, also known as UNS S34700 and Grade 347, is an austenitic stainless steel made of .08% maximum carbon, 17% to 19% chromium, 2% maximum manganese, 9% to 13% nickel, 1% maximum silicon, traces of phosphorus and sulfur, 1% minimum to 10% maximum columbium and tantalum with the balance of iron. Grade 347 is advantageous for high temperature service because of its good mechanical properties; it also has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800° to 1500° F. It is similar to Grade 321 with respect to intergranular corrosion which is achieved through the use of columbium as a stabilizing element to maximize this feature. Grade 347 can not be hardened through heat treating, but elevated properties may be obtained through cold reduction.

UNS S34700 347 Stainless Steel Pipes, Flanges, Pipe Fittings By yaang.com

347 Stainless Steel Detailed Description

Type 347 stainless steel is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel similar to type 304 with an addition of Columbium and Tantalum. The columbium serves to produce a stabilized type of stainless steel which is immune to chromium carbide precipitation. This type of grades are thus recommended for parts fabricated by welding which cannot be susequently annealed or for parts which must operate in service between 800 – 1600°F.

1.4541 ASTM S32100 321 Stainless Steel

This grade is a titanium stabilised austenitic stainless steel. The addition of titanium to 321 stainless Steel helps improve its welding properties and the elevated temperature properties of the steel. This stainless steel offers excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. It offers higher creep and stress rupture properties that 304 austenitic stainless steel grade. 321 stainless steel possesses excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion when worked or welded in temperatures with the carbide precipitation range of 427-818°C.

Stainless Steel 321 in bars, flanges, pipe fittings and tubes

GRADE STAINLESS STEEL 321, AISI Type 321, UNS S32100

Yaang is a leading manufacturer of Stainless Steel 321 in bars, flanges, pipe fittings and tubes.
Stainless Steel 321 is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel. It is stabilized for weldments subject to sever corrosive conditions and service from 800 to 1600 F. It is similar to stainless steel grade 304 but with a titanium amount of at least five times the level of carbon. This also helps advance the mechanical properties of the steel at higher temperatures.
