Fasteners are used to mechanically join two or more objects together, either permanently or non-permanently. The most common fasteners are screws, nails and glue. There are many types of fasteners available in the market ranging from simple to complex ones.
Types of Fasteners
There are different types of fasteners that include:
Nails - Nails are made from metal or plastic and have a head at one end that is used for driving into wood or other materials. Nails can be used for attaching boards together, hanging pictures on a wall, or even covering a hole in wood.
Screws - Screws have a pointed tip at one end and usually have threads along their length that helps them to be driven into wood or other materials by turning with a screwdriver or wrench.
Bolts - Bolts are similar to screws but they have more threads and do not require tools for driving them into material like screws do. Bolts also have nuts that fit onto the threads on the bolt's shaft so as to be able to hold tight against an object being bolted together tightly enough so that it is not going anywhere without being taken apart first.
